Salem Nutrition Center

Started in 1984 by Salem members Roger & Louise Abrey, the Salem Nutrition Center has been serving Rochester's hungry for more than 30 years!  What started out as a primarily Salem-staffed mission has expanded over the years so that there are now 19 Rochester churches represented by volunteers serving!  We currently serve approximately 15,000 meals/year.

We serve lunches on Mondays and Tuesdays at noon from Labor Day through Memorial Day.  In the summer (June though August), lunch is only served on Mondays.  A bible study is offered before each meal.  Clothing give aways occur on the last Monday of each month.

If you are interested in finding out more, or helping out, please contact director Rev. Kurt Traugott.

In order to practice social distancing while still providing meals, we will moved to a "to-go" boxed lunch option starting on Monday, March 23, 2020.  To-go service will continue until we feel it is safe to return to serving sit down meals in the gymnasium.  Please be patient with us (and each other) as we navigate these trying times.
