Community Outreach

Salem has a long history of community service, from the founding of St. John's Home in 1898, to the creation of one of Rochester's earliest public assistance programs, to the founding of our Nurition Center in 1984.  We have hosted concerts, boy scout troops, movie nights, basketball leagues, RCSD basketball games, remote control Airplane clubs (they liked to fly in our gymnasium), Eastern Service Workers Association projects, Off-Monroe Players and many other community groups and events.  We are always interested to hear about other opportunities to Serve Christ in the City.  If you think Salem might meet your needs and would like to speak to someone at Salem about utilizing our facility, please email the Board of Trustees.
