Serving Christ in the City Since 1873
Sunday Morning Worship
With the Corona virus outbreak, we are living in unprecedented times. Church leadership is evaluating the risks and determining whether or not to have worship service on a week to week basis.
We are working to balance health concerns with the need to come together as a community both to worship God and comfort each other. Church council is checking in with "high risk" members to help with any needs they may have. If you are able to help, please do. Please contact email@example.com with any questions, offers to help or if you have already checked in on someone/know of a need.
Our Nutrition Center was closed on 3/16 and 3/17 as they prepared to move to a "to-go" boxed lunch option. This option allows us to protect our volunteers while still offering meals to those who so desperately need them. They will resume meal service on 3/23.
Please remember that, like you, Salem still has financial obligations to meet during this time. If you are able, please mail in your pledge or donate online. We have temporarily moved our "donate" button to our main web page to make it easier to find.
This is a scary time for many. Please remember that God has a plan, though we may not understand it. Take the recommended precautions: wash your hands for 20 seconds (a good time to pray), stay home if you're sick and limit outside contact when possible. If you are in need of supplies but can't go out, please let us know. Salem is family and together we will get through this. Please also keep in your prayers all those who continue to go to work to keep us safe and keep supplies coming.
Service AT Salem suspended until further notice. Please follow our Facebook page for latest updates on online worship offerings for Holy Week.

Our ministry includes worship, education, pastoral care and service. We know that God is still at work in the world. Our own congregation is just one example of God's ongoing presence. We believe that our relationship to Christ is experienced most fully in church, and realized in our community.
Christ is working among us.
We believe that our congregation exists as a community for others. We do not live for ourselves alone, but in service to Jesus Christ in this city.
